Dell Poweredge Servers
Sometimes fixing a failed node requires updating the drivers. As of March 2023, the following firmware versions are approved for the IC:
- BIOS 2.10.2
- iDRAC 6.10.30.00
- Non-Expander Storage Backplane Firmware for Select PowerEdge Platforms 6.97, A00
- Broadcom NetXtreme-E Network Device Firmware 22.3.2
- PowerEdge CPLD R6525/ R7525 Version 1.2.0

Your service tag number is the serial number for the server which is listed on the pull-out tag of the server.
Performing a firmware update with a USB
Here is how you can use a USB to perform a firmware update. For the following method to work please download the .efi file, a screenshot of the correct one to download is here.
- Copy the file to a USB device
- Plug in the USB device and press F11 during POST to enter BIOS Boot Manager
- Navigate to the System Utilities menu and select BIOS Update File Explorer
- Select the USB device and navigate through the directory contents to find the executable (.efi)
- Launch the executable and follow the instructions provided by the flash utility.
