A. Create Proxmox CT
- From the main Proxmox page, select
Create CTto launch theCreate: LXC Containerdialog window. - Tick the
Advancedbox and then enter CT ID of120, Hostname of<dc>-maas, create a non-trivial password for root and save in your password manager MaaS {ICR} and optionally add your ssh public key. Select Next. - Select the
ubuntu-22.04-standardtemplate. SelectNext. - Use
30GB as the disk size. SelectNext. - Set cores to
8. SelectNext. - Set the Memory and Swap to
4096. SelectNext. - Set the Bridge to
vmbr1(LAN), uncheck theFirewalloption, set the IPv4 toStaticwith an IP of10.10.100.20/24(CIDR is required), Gateway of10.10.100.1, set the IPv6 toSLAAC. SelectNext. - No changes are required for the
DNStab. Select Next - Tick the
Start after createdoption. SelectFinish. - When complete, close the dialog window.
- After the VM has started ensure that Proxmox has it set to “Start at boot.”
- Select the VM on the left navigation menu and then select
options. Double clickStart at Boot, and tick the box, and selectok
