1. UEFI - Enter System Setup and reset IDRAC password

  1. Reboot or power on the server.
  2. Watch for the blue screen with boot options in the top left corner.
  3. Press F2 a couple of times, once the options are listed.
  4. If your option is recognized by the system, it should be highlighting Entering System Setup.
  5. In the System Setup, select iDRAC Settings and press enter.

  6. Select User Configuration and press enter.

  7. Select Change Password and press enter.

  8. Enter your desired password and select OK. This needs to be changed from the default the server ships with.

  9. Select Back and Finish.

2. UEFI - System BIOS - Check Version

  1. In the System Setup, System BIOS press enter.

  2. In the System BIOS, select System Information and press enter.

  3. Verify the System BIOS Version is at least 2.8.4
    If BIOS Version is below 2.8.4, ABORT configuring and update the BIOS.

  4. Select Back to return to System BIOS.


3. UEFI - System BIOS - Processor Settings

  1. In System BIOS, select Processor Settings and press enter.

  2. Set Logical Processor to Enabled
  3. Set Virtualization Technology to Enabled
  4. Set NUMA Nodes Per Socket to 0

  5. Set Secure Memory Encryption to Enabled
  6. Set Minimum SEV non-ES ASID to 253
  7. Set Secure Nesting Paging to Enabled
  8. Set SNP Memory Coverage to Enabled
  9. Set Transparent Secure Memory Encryption to Disabled

  10. Select Back to return to System BIOS.


4. UEFI - System BIOS - Boot Settings

  1. In System BIOS, select Boot Settings and press enter.

  2. Set Boot Mode to UEFI

  3. Select Back to return to System BIOS.


5. UEFI - System BIOS - Integrated Devices

  1. In System BIOS, select Integrated Devices

  2. Set Pcie Preffered IO Bus to Enabled
  3. Set Enhanced Preferred IO to Enabled
  4. Set SR-IOV Global Enable to Enabled

  5. Select Back to return to System BIOS.

6. UEFI - System BIOS - Miscellaneous Settings

  1. In System BIOS, select Miscellaneous Settings

  3. Set F1/F2 Prompt on Error to Disabled
  4. Select Back to return to System BIOS.

  6. Select Finish and press enter.

  8. Select Yes to save the changes and press enter.

  10. Select OK and press enter.

  12. Confirm the exit and press enter. The system will reboot now. Please do not unplug the IC-OS USB stick at this point.

7. Boot Manager - Enter Boot Manager

  2. Watch for the Blue screen with boot options in the top left corner. Press F11 a couple of times, once the options are listed.

  4. If your option is recognized by the system, it should highlight Entering Boot Manager.

  6. In the Boot Manager, select One-shot UEFI Boot Menu and press enter.

  8. In the Boot Menu, select your USB device and press enter.
