D. Update Firmware on SuperMicro Nodes (Recommended)

  1. Open and Log into a BMC of the SuperMicro you wish to update
  2. Select System > FRU Reading

  1. Find the Board Product name on this page

  1. Using the Board Product Name, search for the latest firmware on SuperMicros website. https://www.supermicro.com/support/resources/bios_ipmi.php?type=BMC
  2. Once you have located your motherboard, Select Resources
  3. Under Software Select BMC Firmware
  4. Download it and Extract it
  5. Go back to the BMC and select Maintenance > Firmware Update
  6. Select Enter Update Mode
  7. In the Confirm Window Select Yes
  8. Select Upload Firmware
  9. In the Confirm Window Select Yes
  10. Uncheck Preserve Configuration (Unchecking this option will restore the BMC's factory default setting.)
  11. Select Start Upgrade NOTE: After the firmware update is complete, you will need to clear the cache of any browser that had previously connected with that BMC Web Console.
