D. Update Firmware on SuperMicro Nodes (Recommended)
- Open and Log into a BMC of the SuperMicro you wish to update
- Select
System

- Find the Board Product name on this page

- Using the
Board Product Name
, search for the latest firmware on SuperMicros website. https://www.supermicro.com/support/resources/bios_ipmi.php?type=BMC - Once you have located your motherboard, Select Resources
- Under
Software
SelectBMC Firmware
- Download it and Extract it
- Go back to the BMC and select
Maintenance
>Firmware Update
- Select
Enter Update Mode
- In the Confirm Window Select
Yes
- Select
Upload Firmware
- In the Confirm Window Select
Yes
- Uncheck
Preserve Configuration (Unchecking this option will restore the BMC's factory default setting.)
- Select
Start Upgrade
NOTE: After the firmware update is complete, you will need to clear the cache of any browser that had previously connected with that BMC Web Console.
