Go back to the previous section: A. Install Proxmox
B. Update Proxmox
- Browse to the public IP address of Proxmox (the one set during installation). Once Proxmox is installed and reachable, the rest can be done remotely.
- Enter in the Username
root
and password you setup during the proxmox install. - If you do not have a Proxmox subscription, you need to disable the Enterprise repo and add the
No-Subscription
repo. - Select your RMU device on the left side of the screen.
- Expand
Updates
, and selectRepositories
. - Select the
enterprise.proxmox.com/debian/pve
repo and then select theDisable
button. - Disable the
enterprise.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-quincy
repo. - Add the
No-Subscription
repo by selecting theAdd
button and selecting theNo-Subscription
option from theRepository
drop-down. - Next step is to update the repository packages and then update the system.
- On the Updates tab, select the
Refresh
button and click through the “no license” dialog (if it pops up). - Update the system by selecting the
Upgrade
button and then entering “Y” in the resulting pop-up terminal window. - When the update completes, reboot the node.
- Enter the command
shutdown -r now
.
- Enter the command
- The whole machine will reboot, please give it a few minutes before proceeding to the next step.
