This roadmap is intended to provide a clear, sequential guide for Node Providers. The roadmap outlines what is required of Node Providers, the reward model of the Internet Computer, guidance on hardware acquisition and data center contracts, in-depth best practices, node onboarding procedures, and much more.
There are five Node Provider milestones:
- Milestone One: Education
- Here, you will learn more about the Internet Computer and the rewards/obligations of being a Node Provider.
- Milestone Two: Requirements
- Here, you will learn more about the specific skill, hardware, and networking requirements, as well as some best practices regarding decentralization and security.
- Milestone Three: Onboarding Preparation Checklist
- Here, you will complete a preparation checklist before you are ready to move on to node onboarding.
- Milestone Four: Node Onboarding
- Here, you will onboard your nodes to the Internet Computer.
- Milestone Five: Node Management
- Here, you will find guidance and resources on managing your nodes.
Milestones 1-4 will take you from an Internet Computer novice to a Node Provider actively receiving rewards!
Milestone 5 is a continuous process designed to assist you with any questions or issues you might encounter throughout your career as a Node Provider.
